Angel Overcash, M.D.M., D.D.M., C.D.W.I., (Doll Artisan Guild Master and Doctor Doll Maker, only one of thirteen D.D.M.'s in the world, and Certified Kesting Traveling and Product Instructor) captured the Gold Medal for the United States in the International Doll Guild World Championships which began in Germany and concluded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995. In the ten nation competition, with the best doll artists competing from Europe, Canada and the U.S., Angel took home the Bronze Gilda. A "Gilda" represents the pinnacle of accomplishment in the doll making industry. IN addition to the Gold and Gilda, Angel received four Blue Ribbons, two 100 point perfects for "Baby Angela" and and "Akia", Best Doll Original Category, "Baby Angela" and Best Doll in Show -- Professional "Baby Angela." Angel is President of Angelic Creations, Ltd. School of Dollmaking which she founded in 1981 and where she instructs students in the art of porcelain doll making. She is also President of the Lady Angel Doll Company which sells her collectible original and limited edition vinyl and porcelain dolls. Angel's look-a-like dolls and terra cotta sculptures continue to captivate the doll world. Angel shares her talents as a traveling instructor throughout the world and is always heard thanking God for her many talents and His blessings upon her. Since Angel began making dolls, she has won many blue ribbons including several 100 point-perfect dolls in Seeley International competitions. She has been twice voted Illinois Dollmaker of the Year.
